I've been meaning to write about the illustrations I did for my daughter's nursery since before she was born. But, as always, time seems to slip away faster than I'd like most days. I knew when I was searching through the pages of my sketchbook that I wanted one of my softer and more whimsical sketches. I wanted illustrations that looked like they were plucked right from the pages of a little girls' fairytale book. I like to think that one day she'll dream up her own stories for these.

I aged the pages with tea before beginning the drawings.
A photo of the original just doesn't do it justice. |
